PITTSBURGH (November 25, 2021) – The JuJu Foundation has partnered with Dive Bar & Grille, ACORx Pharmacy and Ten Four Social for the second year in a row to pass out 500 hot Thanksgiving meals to those in the Pittsburgh community in need of a meal.
Last year these organizations came together to pass out 250 meals to those who were unable to celebrate the holiday with their families due to the pandemic and this year they are doubling down with 500.
“Since last year was such a challenging time for many, we wanted to be sure COVID-19 wasn’t stopping anyone from enjoying a Thanksgiving meal,” Chairman of the JuJu Foundation, JuJu Smith-Shuster said. “We’re so excited to be able to double the number of meals we are passing out this Thanksgiving.”
On Thanksgiving Day, all organizations and volunteers will meet at Dive Bar and Grille in Southside, who will be preparing all the meals, to package and prepare for delivery. ACORx Pharmacy, Ten Four Social and the JuJu Foundation will be helping with the delivery of all meals directly to the individual’s homes this Thursday.
“We couldn’t be happier to prepare these meals for our community. We want to help in any way we can, and JuJu has done so many great things for Pittsburgh, so it is an honor to be partnered with the foundation for another year,” owner of Dive Bar & Grille, Clint Kuskie said.
“Partnering with the JuJu Foundation and Dive Bar & Grille is a great feeling to once again be able to make sure our patients are able to have a hot Thanksgiving meal this year,” Owner of ACORx Pharmacy, Shawn Nairn said.
